Up for sale is a highly scarce, authentic piece of 1960s Vietnam War-era radical political ephemera. This bright orange paper subscription flyer and donation form was issued by the US Committee to Aid the NLF-SV (National Liberation Front of South Vietnam), operating out of the Old Chelsea Station in New York City.Unlike mainstream anti-war literature focused purely on peace rallies, this fringe committee explicitly distributed materials to provide the North Vietnamese and NLF viewpoint to the American public.Visual & Text Features:
  • Graphic Art: Features a striking, high-contrast black graphic on the left depicting a Vietnamese woman/fighter in a traditional headscarf/conical hat.
  • Typography: Uses a distinct, bold retro stencil font for the "Vietnam Courier" heading.
  • Publications Listed: The flyer acts as an order form for various English-language periodicals published in Hanoi, including Vietnam Courier, Vietnam (Pictorial), Vietnamese Studies, Viet Nam Youth, and Women of Vietnam.
