Original Antique U.S. Military McClellan Cavalry Saddle – 11 Inch Seat – U.S. MarkedOffered here is an antique U.S. military McClellan-style cavalry saddle with an 11-inch seat and accompanying leather rigging/tack as shown.
The saddle features the distinctive open-center McClellan design and retains the brass shield-shaped “11 INCH / SEAT” plate. Both leather stirrup hoods are present and display embossed “U.S.” markings.
This example retains numerous original-appearing leather straps, buckles, rings, brass fittings and other hardware. The leather has a very attractive dark brown aged patina military McClellan cavalry saddle

Condition:
Antique used condition with age-appropriate wear throughout. Leather exhibits scuffs, scratches, creasing, edge wear, discoloration, dryness and other signs of age and service. Metal hardware exhibits oxidation, tarnish and patina. Some straps and leather components show heavier wear from age and use.
No attempt has been made to clean, polish, condition or restore the saddle. It is being offered in its current as-found condition.
