Original Spanish American War Spanish Artillery Short Sword

Dated 188, made in Toledo, Spain. Measures 28 5/8" long, missing the wood grips and sheath. Entire sword is covered in a light layer of surface rust. There is a little heavy rust beneath where the grips would be but no pitting or bubbling anywhere else, I believe this would clean up very nicely if you wished or it displays beautifully as is.
