Item Description
Vintage Mid-Century Otagiri Japan Black Lacquer Canape Cocktail Trays - Set of 6Complete matching set of six (6) vintage mid-century modern small lacquerware canape/cocktail trays produced by the highly collectible Otagiri Mercantile Company (OMC) in Japan.
These lightweight, hard plastic/resin composite trays feature a sleek, high-gloss black finish adorned with a stylized orange fruit (apple or persimmon) inlay motif accented by elegant metallic gold/silver line work. They are perfect for serving small appetizers, olives, or acting as individual drink coasters for a vintage-themed bar setup.
Condition:
• Good Vintage Condition: Structurally sound with no chips, cracks, or repairs to the black composite bodies. The stamped "OMC Japan" clover crest marks are intact on the undersides (some are more prominent than others, see images).
• Paint Crazing: Please note that some of the trays show fine crazing and hairline cracking within the orange painted fruit motif due to age (visible in the close-up photos). They still display beautifully and retain their vibrant mid-century charm, but show honest vintage character.
• Light surface swirling/fine scratches from normal handling and storage consistent with age. (Please review all photos carefully, as they form an accurate part of the description). Related Items:
