Original U.S. Army canvas duffle / barracks bag from the Korean War era with soldier stencil markings.Visible stencil reads: CPL JOHN A. LOUINS US 55 321 001 53 – KOREA – 54 The service number US55 321 001 is also stamped again in smaller format twice on the front and once more on the back. Thereverse side also shows “U.S.” marking.
Heavy olive drab canvas construction typical of mid-centuryU.S. military barracks bags used to transport personal gear and clothing during deployment and travel.
Named and stenciled military bags with Korea references are desirable to militaria collectors becausethey can often be researched to a specific soldier.
