This is a unique mineral specimen consisting of fluorapophyllite crystals growing on chalcedony that has formed on datolite. This rare find comes from the Roncari Quarry in East Granby, Connecticut, United States. This old Connecticut specimen measures 5" x 4" x 2.5" Inches, weighs 2.6 Pounds, and was collected by the Bentley family in the 1950's.

This specimen does fluoresce under an ordinary black light. I tried to capture images of this, but they don't show up well with my phone camera.
