1/6th plate tintype of an unidentified trooper from the 2nd Missouri Volunteer Cavalry, otherwise known as Merrill's Horse. The 2nd Missouri was quite active in the western and Trans-Mississippi theaters of the war, serving from the fall of 1861 until September of 1865. Although this image is on the rougher side it sure presents well enough with an extremely clear and visible Hall Carbine. This is the first and only image I’ve seen with a Hall carbine. This is one of those images you buy for the rarity and content rather than the condition. Housed in a full leatherette case. This image if very good condition would do probably 5 times what I’m asking.
