For sale is a sweet 19th century reverse profile Hudson River school style gold gilded Victorian picture frame.

Circa 1860 in age give or take.

The frame having previously been on a Hudson River school painting by Thomas Benjamin Pope.

The gesso molded inner frame having varying floral patterns through out.

A deep cove scoop outer molding

The surface of the frame having a nice rich original gold gilded surface

The frame looks to have been cut and fitted to the previous painting. Probably not buy a professional frame cutter, but we are unsure. Some of the corners being slightly off from even.

The frame still presents quite well. But this is a frame that would be a prime candidate for being resized to whatever size was needed.

Condition: The frame in great structural shape. Very little chipping or gilding loss to the frame. Age appropriate wear for an 1860 antique frame. See all pictures for your consideration of condition.
