Up for sale is a stunning 10-inch Chinese flambé porcelain vase featuring a striking Sang de Boeuf (oxblood) transmutation glaze. The vase showcases a gorgeous gradient where deep crimson red streaks melt seamlessly into rich mirror black and dark olive green tones near the base. The interior neck is finished in a contrasting light celadon/pale blue glaze, pulling away at the rim into a classic brown unglazed edge.This piece is in fantastic vintage condition with absolutely no chips, cracks, or repairs to the body or rim. It exhibits an attractive, uniform fine glaze crazing throughout, which is highly characteristic of these high-temperature reduction-fired wares.
