Beautiful and unusual antique display featuring a matched pair of Victorianmicro seed bead bracelet remnants, professionally mounted in a vintage woodenshadowbox frame.
The bracelets date to approximately 1870–1900and are exquisitely hand sewn with thousands of tiny glass micro seed beads ona silk foundation. The floral designs feature pink roses, deep blue flowerswith golden centers, white blossoms, and shades of green foliage against awhite beaded background. The level of craftsmanship is remarkable andrepresents the meticulous handwork for which Victorian bead artisans wereknown.
Although the original bracelet clasps are nolonger present, the surviving beadwork remains vibrant and displaysbeautifully. Each bracelet measures approximately 5½ inches long by 1¾ incheswide. The matching pair was preserved many years ago inside a custom woodenshadowbox, protecting these fragile textile treasures while creating anattractive decorative display.
The wooden frame has rich warm wood tones witha solid brass hanger on the reverse. The frame itself appears to date from the early20th century and has become part of the history of the piece, preserving theantique bracelets for future generations.
Condition:
Overall good antique condition considering age. The beadwork retains excellentcolor but with some missing beads. Both bracelets exhibit wear and losses atthe ends where their original closures were once attached, along withage-related fraying to the silk foundation. The frame shows expected lightsurface wear from age and handling. Glass has been removed, cleaned, andreassembled for a clear presentation.
