Antique Slot Machine Parts - Reproduction Jackpot Top UPPER FLAP DOOR For Mills:
$19.45

Often missing from Mills slot machines is the upper flap from inside the jackpot. Finally, a reproduction is available. What it does is divert coins one by one to fill the reserve jackpot. When the reserve jackpot is full, a few coins will stack on top of it. A lightweight spring is attached to the hook on this part. When a few coins accumulate on top of the flap, the weight of the coins will cause the flap to pivot down and the coins will fall into the main jackpot and then into the cashbox.

This part installs in the top of the Mills jackpot. (Not to be confused with either the reserve door or the main jackpot door, or the inner load door for the main jackpot. The orange arrow in the last photo shows the location of this part installed in a jackpot, as well as the direction in which the coins travel on it. Photo 5 shows the part installed in a jackpot.

In most machines, the front edge of this part has a downward bend in it. We chose not to put this bend in it, as many machines are configured differently. Even identical nickel machines may have different styles of this bend. In other words, this will have to be configured specifically for your machine. It\'s easy enough to put a good straight bend on the front edge by clamping the part in your bench vise, but it may take a couple of tries to get the angle just right. Some also have the front corners cut off, right at the bend. This part will be require trial and error fit to your specific application. The third photo (with the purple background) shows what the bend on the front edge of the part will look like, but this will vary from machine to machine.

The axle shaft for this is the identical part as used on the load door for the main jackpot, right below it. It\'s not difficult to fabricate from a 4\" piece of rod, or even a nail, if needed. It will also require a lightweight spring to attach to the hook on the corner of this part.

This fits most 1930s, 1940s and early 1950s Mills machines equipped with a self-loading jackpot. The last four photos show the configuration of the spring used, and both early and late styles are shown.

I have other antique slot machine parts available, (mostly original), so please see my other listings for those, as well as new glass, locks and more.

I have been selling antique slot machines and parts for over 50 years. Thank you.
