Antique RPPC Logging Lumber Camp Men Cabins Real Photo Postcard AZO Canada 1920s:

This is an antique real photo postcard (RPPC) printed on AZO paper made in Canada. It shows eight men posed in front of two rough-built wooden camp buildings in a clearing surrounded by tall evergreens. The larger building has vertical board siding, a tall gable with a six-pane loft window and a stovepipe chimney. The smaller building beside it is a low clapboard cabin with several doors and windows, and both have metal roofs. One man sits in front holding something up. The others stand around him in work coats, jackets and brimmed hats. A leaning pole or brace is in the right foreground.The scene looks like a logging, lumber or bush camp from the early 20th century. It's an appealing piece of backwoods working life. The location and the men are not identified.
The back reads "POST CARD," "CORRESPONDENCE," "ADDRESS" and "MADE IN CANADA." The AZO stamp box has squares in the corners, a style generally dated to the mid-1920s through the 1940s. The card is unposted and has no message. There is a small pencil notation in the upper right corner of the back.
Measures approximately 5 3/8" x 3 3/8".

Condition:Fair antique condition. One corner is clipped off diagonally, and the other corners are rounded and worn. The image has several creases and cracks running through the emulsion, including long vertical cracks through the sky and a horizontal crease near the bottom edge. There is silvering along the top and bottom edges, light surface scuffs and a few small spots on the image. The back has toning, foxing, light staining, a crease, and a small pencil notation in the upper right corner. The image is still clear, and the figures and buildings read well. Please review all photos carefully, as they are part of the condition description.
