Rare antique Pluto Concentrated Spring Water bottle from the famous French Lick Springs Hotel in Indiana, dating to the early 1900s. This tall aqua glass bottle features the iconic embossed devil figure and “PLUTO” lettering on the base. Original paper label is mostly intact and legible, detailing medicinal benefits and a 1907 analysis.

In obesity, gout, rheumatism, etc., it exercises a marked influence in increasing oxidation and elimination, thus promoting a better nutrition and relieving many symptoms which have their origin in a disturbed metabolism.
Other Side Label (Medical Claims):PLUTO CONCENTRATED
Is a hydragogue cathartic; increasing secretions and stimulating peristalsis.
The dose may be graduated so that it will act as a purgative, laxative, saline aperient, intestinal antiseptic, alterative, and, when freely diluted, as a diuretic.
Its effects are especially beneficial in gastric and intestinal catarrh, jaundice, hemorrhoids, skin eruptions, migraine, and as a general eliminant in persons of a phlegmatic predisposition.
DOSE – As a laxative, a wineglassful (4 or 5 tablespoonfuls) well diluted in hot or cold water, upon rising.
As an alterative, two or three tablespoonfuls in hot or cold water half hour before each meal, and upon retiring.
