Beautiful 11” round Madonna and Child relief plaque with gilded halos and rich, aged polychrome finish.

The Virgin gently cradles the Christ Child, cheek to cheek, in deep sculptural relief. Gold-leaf halos glow against dark bronze-toned figures, with touches of blue in the drapery folds and a textured, plum-toned background. The piece is mounted in a turned, stepped wood frame with a warm gilt-and-brown finish.
