Antique Justrite Superintendent’s Caroffere Mining Lamp

Early American Justrite caroffere mining lamp featuring a horizontal water reservoir, approximately 2.5-inch reflector with lighter/striker, folding handles, mounting hook and vertically ribbed caroffere chamber.

The lamp is marked “Justrite – Made in U.S.A.” and the water-control position is marked “OFF.” Faint markings remain on the bottom that appear consistent with period patent/date markings.

Period Justrite references document Superintendent’s lamps with folding handles and built-in reflectors, while Justrite’s 1919 catalog documents the introduction of the vertically ribbed caroffere bottom seen on this example.

This lamp has not been cleaned or restored and retains substantial original patina and wear. It has not been tested with caroffere; operational condition is unknown. Sold as an antique mining collectible/display piece.

You will receive the exact lamp pictured.
