Antique German Regimental Stein 1897-99 Bavarian Artillery Lithophane King Otto:
$199.99

Add a premier historical centerpiece to your militaria or antique collection with this exceptional original Imperial German Regimental Reservist Beer Stein. Custom-ordered by a Bavarian conscript to celebrate his two-year service window from 1897 to 1899, this porcelain tankard originates from the historic garrison fortress town of Germersheim.

This stein represents the Königlich Bayerisches 2. Fußartillerie-Regiment (Royal Bavarian 2nd Foot Artillery Regiment). Unlike standard infantry pieces, the detailed artwork features heavy siege guns, fortress defense fortifications, and the iconic Bavarian blue diamond pattern. When held up to a strong light source, the translucent base reveals a gorgeous hidden lithophane portrait of King Otto of Bavaria. The piece is fully completed by a heavy, ornate pewter lid and an intricate lion-with-shield thumblift.
