The hollow porcelain figure was designed as a decorative dresser doll or vanity ornament, with her outstretched hands holding the folds of her skirt to create the graceful silhouette associated with 18th-century court fashion. The underside is clearly marked “Madame Pompadour Dresser Dolls – E & R – Germany,” identifying this as German export porcelain. Based on the styling, construction, and mark, this piece dates approximately to the 1920s–1930s and was manufactured in Germany.
