Up for sale is an original, authentic antique black-and-white (sepia-toned) portrait photograph dating to the Edwardian era (circa 1900–1910). This wonderfully sweet historic image features a young boy formally posed alongside his beloved herding dog companion.

The central photograph is housed inside its original, heavy textured dark grey/black cardboard studio mat frame featuring an elegant embossed oval border frame design. The boy is dressed in classic early 20th-century winter attire, including a knit stocking cap complete with a decorative hanging tassel, a dark buttoned wool coat, knickerbocker trousers, and tall dark socks. Sitting proudly directly beside his chair is a beautiful, shaggy-coated pet dog showing the distinctive facial markings of a purebred Border Collie or Australian Shepherd lineage.
