Antique 18th Century Original Sri Lankan Piha Keatta Steel & Hand Carved Dagger !!

A steel and brass dagger, known as a Piha Keatta, from South Asia, Sri Lanka, Sinhalese culture, circa 18th to 19th century CE. The handle is hand carved and features a chased silver pommel cap. Intricate scrolling foliate Sinhalese style motifs adorn the piece, showcasing the luxurious nature of these knives, which were often bestowed as gifts among Maharajas.

Dimensions: 10.25" L x 1" W (26 cm x 2.5 cm); blade only: 6.125" L x 1" W (15.6 cm x 2.5 cm).

We guarantee that the piece is over 100 years old.
