A stunning antique English porcelain vegetable tureen / footed serving bowl featuring hand-applied gold leaf trim, jewel-like white enamel beaded detailing along the handles and base, and a gilded heraldic crest/griffin motif on the front.Sourced directly from England. Originally retailed by Soane & Smith (located at 462 Oxford St & Kensington High St, London W), a prominent luxury English china and glass merchant established in the late 19th century. The base features the maker/retailer stamp alongside an English registry diamond mark.Year / Era: Circa 1880s – 1920s (Late Victorian to Art Deco transition period).Dimensions: Please see photos for exact measurements/dimensions.Excellent antique condition given its age. Beautiful cream/pale yellow porcelain glaze with light surface wear consistent with age and gentle use. No cracks or chips. Handwash only. DO NOT put in the dishwasher. DO NOT microwave.
