Up for sale is an authentic 1930s Art Deco Mechanical Valve Stepped Jigger designed and manufactured by the fNapier Company of Meriden, CT (1875-1999).This rare piece of early 20th-century barware engineering features an architectural "stepped" ziggurat body that serves as an incremental measuring guide for 1/2 oz, 1 oz, 1-1/2 oz, and 2 oz pours. Instead of tipping the jigger over, you simply hold it over your glass or cocktail shaker and depress the thumb lever – instantly lifting the internal plunger valve to drop the spirits straight down.4" tall and is 2" in diameter at the top. It is unmarked (a known factory variation for early Napier production runs).This item has been in my personal collection since the early 1980s and has been very well cared for.It is pictured on page 79 in Stephen Visakay's Vintage Bar Ware.Buyer pays for handling, insurance, and shipping (FedEx Ground) from 27511 (NC).
