A Lovely retro modern perfume bottle in solid sterling silver. A beautiful perfume scent bottle, created in Hernandez Taxco Mexico back in the 1970. This very decorative bottle is a one of a kind piece, crafted with retro-modernist and geometric patterns in solid 925 silver with high polished finish. The top has a screw lid with an unusual semiprecious stone (turritella agate?). It weighs 46 grams. It measures about 2.5" x 1.75" x .9/8". It's stamped with Mexican hallmarks "MEXICO .925 Tcll". Tcll refers high-quality silver jewelry and other silver items that are produced in Taxco, Mexico. Taxco is a city located in the state of Guerrero, Mexico, and has a rich history of silver mining and silversmithing. In the1920s, an American named William Spratling arrived in Taxco and recognized the potential for creating a thriving silver industry. He established a workshop and began designing and producing silver jewelry that blended traditional Mexican motifs with modern design principles. Spratling's designs gained popularity, and soon other artisans began to follow in his footsteps, leading to the growth of the Taxco silver industry.The item is in good condition.
