Hello Mello Yellow!
Here is a rare and complete set of six vintage botanical art prints by the celebrated 19th-century artist Sir Joseph Paxton.
Originally published in Paxtons Magazine of Botany between 1834 and 1849, these illustrations documented exotic specimens for the Victorian era.
This specific set was produced in the mid-20th century by the Turner Manufacturing Company of Chicago, likely part of their curated Living Now series designed for high-end mid-century modern home decor.
The set features six distinct floral subjects:Echinacea intermedia (Red Coneflower)
- Dipteracanthus spectabilis (Blue Trumpet)
- Nerium oleander (Striped Oleander)
- Luxemburgia ciliosa (Fringe-Leaved Luxemburgia)
- Epidendrum vitellinum (Orange Orchid)
- Pleroma elegans (Glory Bush)
Physical details:
Each petite frame measures approximately 5 3/4 x 4 3/4 inches, a classic scale for a coordinated gallery wall.
The frames are constructed of wood with a vintage honey-gold finish and include the original textured linen-style matting.
The reverse of each piece features the authentic Turner industrial construction, including a horizontal wooden support bar and integrated brass-tone hanging hardware.
The back is finished with a period-correct textured dust seal that has aged naturally over time.
