1st Pattern French Mle 1892 w/original matching Colonial/Marine Scabbard:

French Model 1892 Mannlicher-Berthier bayonet (specifically the 1st Pattern / 1st Type variant). The combination of the flat crossguard with an upward-curving quillon, a bird's-head steel pommel, and dark wooden grip scales secured by two rivets. Rare anchor marked Marine/Colonial bayonet and scabbard. This type saw heavy use in World War I with French Naval or French Colonial units such as the Foreign Legion. Not saying it was used by the Legion, but it falls within the possibility.
