1943 WWII Hawaii US Army Photo Album 160+ Pics Military Hickam Kilauea Kona Inn:

This substantial album measures approximately 11½” × 7½” and contains more than 160 original black-and-white photographs documenting Yenney’s military service and travels throughout Hawaii during World War II.

Two original organization passes dated November 10 and November 20, 1943 are included. The passes identify Yenney as a corporal associated with APO 953 in Hawaii. His military serial number has intentionally not been included in this description.

The album includes photographs of uniformed servicemen, military vehicles, camp scenes and numerous Hawaii locations. Identified subjects and places include Hickam Field, Kilauea Military Camp, Halemaumau Crater, Honolulu, Waikiki, the Waikiki Milk Bar, Hilo, Kona and Mauna Kea. Other photographs show beaches, sailboats, automobiles, tropical scenery and everyday life in wartime Hawaii. Several photographs have handwritten captions or identifications.

The photographs and documents appear to have remained together as one personal wartime collection. The listing photographs may not show every photograph contained in the album.
