Vintage 70s/80s Red Anglepoise Lamp by Herbert TerryThis original Anglepoise lamp was made between 1973 and 1985*, and is in an attractive and unusual pillarbox red colour. The light can be pointed in any direction as the arms fully flex up and down and pivot on the base. The shade can be lifted up and down.
The fluted shade has a push button switch at the top, the base is covered with very worn felt, and the flex is black. The lamp takes a standard bayonet (B22) bulb. Vintage Anglepoise lamps are currently extremely popular, and this one is a lovely working example.
The lamp is in working order and the plug is an old BHS one. It is in good vintage condition with some scratches to the paintwork, including on the shade, and along the arms, as can be seen in the pictures. Please examine the photographs and feel free to ask us any questions.
All of our electrical products are tested in our home before sale, however for all vintage lighting we suggest that buyers consult a professional to reassure themselves of safety before use.
