As far as we’re concerned, there are more or less 70 celebrities that we’ve spotted driving a Prius but we’d guess that we’ve only seen a fraction of all the celebs with Prius’ in their garages..  This hippie car sure did make a lot of Hollywood celebrities guilty of spewing out toxic wastes from their cars, so they made sure they all rode the environment-friendly bandwagon. It would be a drag to list them all here, but here are some of them who you might care knowing.

Aside from Rachel Bilson who parades her Prius on every corner of Hollywood, there are other actresses who own and drive this car. For starters, Emily Blunt, heavy-hitters Cameron Diaz, Julianne Moore, Emily Deschanel and Demi Moore all own one.  Others include Sophie Monk, british actress Carey Mulligan, Natalie Portman, Miley Cyrus, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Julia Roberts, Jennifer Aniston, Selma Hayek and Ally McBeal’s Calista Flockhart.

The Prius seems to be working its wonders on the alpha male force of show business too. Dustin Hoffman, David Duchovny, Bradley Cooper, Forest Whitaker, Matt Damon, Zachary Quinto, Harrison Ford and Tom Hanks all own a Prius in their garages. It seems to be a huge hit among comedians as well: Will Ferrel, Anna Farris and Simpsons creator Matt Groening are also said to have a Prius.

With that kind of celeb force backing this car up, it’s safe to say that the Toyota Prius is more than just a hippie car that makes celebrities feel good about themselves, it’s also a wise investment. Who knows, maybe there are more than 500 Prius celebrity owners in Hollywood and all over the globe. They sure have the money for the special order tax that goes along with its price tag.
