Please see all 4 images. Book is quite rare and was published in a limited edition, though book is not numbered. Soft art school booklet dating to circa 1932. Authentic signature of Edward Wilbur Dean Hamilton, American Listed Artist ( 1864 - 1943 ). He signed the booklet for Inez Keller, a former student at MSA. She was from Reading, Massachusetts. I went to her estate sale some years ago and she had saved many items from the Massachusetts School of Art. This is a softcover booklet, entitled Massachusetts School of Art, M.S.A. Annual , A Tragi - Comedy in Four Acts, Presented by the Junior Class. Booklet is 48 pages with many pictures of students, teachers and classmates. Edward Wilbur Dean Hamilton hand signed this. There are also original signatures by Edwin Hoadley, Effie Byron Whittet, and Ella Munsterberg. There is a picture of the Massachusetts School of Art Football Team of 1932 also. Condition overall is good and clean with no missing pages, intact, no odors, no dog eared pages, no foxing, no stains other than a few tiny marks here or there and some marks from the center staples. Staples holding book together have rusted from age, which is normal. A few pages have a few minor creases. I went through the book page by page and it is complete. Edward was born in Somerfield, Ohio, and became member of the Boston School of Painting. He studied at Ecolé de Beaux Arts in Paris France and also at Academy Julian. Edward was a member of Boston’s Copley Society and St. Botolph Club. He was also a medal recipient at the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in San Francisco, 1915.
