Nice early Lamson brass bank money drop tube in near perfect condition and good working order. Opens with an easy twist. Felt bumpers on both ends of the tube are in great shape. William Stickney Lamson invented the Lamson Cash Carrier in 1879, became part of the furniture in office buildings, retail department stores and in government departments. This cylinder is stamped LAMSON with three US Patent numbers (1,428,279 / 1,553,869 / 1,645,495). These patent numbers date to 1925-1927. Nice collector item!
