This is a very nice and decorative Antique Mid Century Modern Cubist Still Life Oil Painting on Masonite, depicting a vibrant still life of fruit, a wine cup, alcohol decanters and flowers. The colors of this work are very vivid, and this work would complement and embellish any tasteful modern home. Signed: “Van Lowe” in the lower left corner. I could not find much biographical information on this California artist, but perhaps you know more about him or his work? Approximately 23 1/2 x 51 1/2 inches (including frame.) Actual artwork is approximately 20 x 48 inches. Good condition for age, with some light scratches and minor paint loss in some areas (please see photos.) Original period frame has some light scuffing and edge wear.
