“Team Jacob” received a large following after the debut of Twilight in 2008. Taylor Lautner is the young man behind the character Jacob Black in the epic movie series based off the books by Stephenie Meyer. This was a life-changing role that has set Taylor up for even bigger roles, including subsequent films in the Twilight series.
Playing Jacob most certainly secured Taylor’s career as an actor for years to come, but he was already playing bit roles in television series and movies before his big break. Born in Michigan, Taylor had an interest in acting at quite a young age. In fact, he was supposedly bullied for his passion! He moved to Los Angeles and landed a few roles here and there, such as the NBC show My Own Worst Enemy.
However, it wasn’t until 2008 that Taylor made his big break. He hadn’t read the Twilight books before, but he auditioned for the part of Jacob at a casting call. He landed the part, and starred in all the movies within the saga. Since then, Taylor has made quite the name for himself among fans young and old, and the actor is only 20 years old!
