It’s no secret Adam Carolla is a massive car guy. At Monterey Car Week this year he truly solidified that fact by spending a whopping $4.4 million on a classic Porsche 935 race car! He even admitted to not really having that kind of money, and needing to now sell off part of his collection to help pay for the car. This particular Porsche has significant racing history and is predicted to continue to climb in value though over the next few years.
“I bought, in my mind, the Holy Grail of cars, for me in my collection. Which is the car that Paul Newman drove at Le Mans in 1979,” said Adam in a recent The Adam CarollaShow podcast.
Major props to Adam on the purchase and we can’t wait to see it racing next year!
It’s Monterey Car Week which means all roads within 50 miles of Pebble Beach are stacked with high-dollar exotics and collectables. Not only does this special week attract the cars, it also brings out the celebrities, including the likes of nearly every cast member from Bravo TV’s, Million Dollar Listing!
I would have to say that Josh Altman has definitely been a leader of this trend as he has been attending for a few years now. Altman has also owned some pretty sweet cars of his own over the past five years.
A few of the guys from Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles and San Francisco have been documenting their time at Pebble. Check out the photos below:
Monterey Car Week (basically the “Super Bowl” of car events) kicked off this week and will likely pull in celebrities ranging from Jay Leno to Patrick Dempsey. Not only is this week one of the greatest car weeks where car loving celebs will come from all over, it’s also host of great parties which is a large pull for anyone loving the luxury lifestyle.
Last night, Jaguar Land Rover held a party to unveil a reproduction e-Type along with the official launch of their new performance line the SVR. In attendance was a host of celebrities including Adam Carolla, Josh Altman Altman and team, and of course one of our favorite D/E list celebs Matt Farah. And no, Heather’s dress was not coordinated with the Land Rover Sport SVR in the background.

Top Gear USA host, Rutledge Wood walked away with a win in the new Scion FR-S at this weekends 37th annual Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race with actors, Brett Davern and Michael Trucco coming in second and third while Adam Carolla took the checkered flag for the pro division.
Just recently Autoblog had the chance to take a peek inside Adam Carolla’s garage so we thought we’d share. Sure Adam Carolla is the host of “The Car Show” now but when you think Adam Carolla you might not think car guy right away — think again. Adam’s garage includes everything from Lamborghini’s to Datsuns (including a Paul Newman / Bob Sharp Racing IMSA 300ZX). Check out the full article and more photos here.
