Everything You Need To Know About Simon Cowell

Finding success in the entertainment business generally requires good people skills. Simon Cowell broke the mold by becoming popular for not being the nice guy. While the entertainment executive and producer has successfully helped the careers of many aspiring artists, Simon hit mainstream popularity with his harsh judging skills on singing television competitions, such as Pop Idol, American Idol and The X Factor.
Simon is a harsh critic that was once quite the rebel. He dropped out of college at 16 and struggled to find a job. During his early adulthood, he purposely ruined interviews his father helped get for him. Eventually, Simon’s passions took fruition at EMI Music Publishing, where his dad also worked as a music executive. He eventually became a talent scout, which set him up for his future career as a judge in singing competitions. His commercial success began in 2001 when he created Pop Idol with Simon Fuller.
Simon is enjoying his work, and the fame and fortune sure doesn’t hurt, either. Along with his accomplishments of being an international household name, the television personality was estimated by Forbes as earning $90 million a year as of May, 2012. He has homes in both West London, England and Beverly Hills, California.
