Bernard Tomic: Standoff With Police In His BMW

Bernard Tomic Bernard Tomic: Standoff With Police In His BMW Australian tennis star, Bernard Tomic was recently pulled over twice within two hours while driving his “high powered” BMW M3. The first incident was for allegedly breaching a restricted license to drive his M3 and “showing off” his car. Apparently because of his P-plate restrictions, Tomic is only allowed to drive to and from practice. The second incident occurred when Tomic refused to pull over for the second time. Officers followed him home but Tomic had already locked himself in his house and refused to come out. Talk about a rough day…

Tomic and his $150,000 M3 are familiar to Gold Coast police. He was also accused of “hooning” (the Australian term for drag racing) back in December.

They have power-to-weight restrictions similar to motocycles for ‘provisional’ learners in Australia.
