"What are you guys looking at? Really, I'm getting out of my Plain-Jain Escalade to run into the store. Is that worth taking pics of?" -Reese Witherspoon

I really think Reese needs something cool. What kind of car do you think Reese Witherspoon should drive?

Hey super star Matt, you’re wrong. In that picture you posted, her head is the same height as the top of the driver door. But, strange enough, her head is significantly lower than the door in this picture. My game is fine.

Hmmm I’m not sure if its a GL. Mercedes dont do chrome side mirrors…

    March 7th, 2010 at 07:20 | #6

They do sometimes, it must be added on as a dealer option, just not factory.

100% sure it’s a 2010 GL with chrome side mirrors, if you look closely at the mirror, in the chrome you will see an outline of a light (for side markers), thats the shape the 2010 GL has.

It is a Mercedes GL because of the door outline. The door on a Escalade is not curved at the B-Pillar.

GL or Escalade, they are both too big and not very pretty cars. should have just got a range rover and left it at that. its simples really.

SunBeam, you’re a moron, those are two very nice looking cars and the Mercedes GL is 100x better built then a rangey.

    @John, thanks dude.

the GL just looks like its not proportioned correctly. its trying for the industrial, functional look, but the G-wagon looks way better but its trying to soften the look slightly to appeal to soccer moms, but the ML is prettier, and thats hardly a looker itself.

no one in europe drives one and mercedes is from round these parts and the roads are full of C, S, SL, CL and ML Benz’s rolling around…..and the escalade is driven by golfers escaping golfclub wielding wives. the big shiny grill, the angled body design, the excessive overhang at the front and particular the rear, which means it can’t go off-road. its just silly. its like a really fat person wearing sneakers and sweat pants. you know they ain’t going for a run.

range rovers are understated, can go off-road, have beautiful interiors, ride smoothly and although have a reputation for being a bit unreliable, i don’t care because thats not what cool is about.

Geniuses it is a Mercedes GL I own one in the same color and I can spot that door from a mile away.

Mikey D, Mr Genius, if you read, you would be able to come to the conclusion that we established that before you bought your 1:18th GL.

You want to see my collection?

Does it really really matter what and who is driving what and when. The woman looks like the photo was taken without any knowledge. Come on can we report on meaningful subjects and content.

  23. May 5th, 2010 at 18:18 | #23

Anyway it’s her decision to choose that car. Maybe the Escalade is not that bad, isn’t it?

  24. May 13th, 2010 at 15:36 | #24

Escalade … I think being next to GL Mercedes. Her real luxury

it DEFINITELY is a GL ’09+ (you can tell its at least an ’09 by the shape of the blinker on the mirror, 07 and 08 just had a horizontal type strip.) can’t tell if its a 320, 450, or 550 though.

  26. May 27th, 2010 at 19:50 | #26

I am not certain that Reece would really care what car she should or should not be driving and I am certain she does not care what car we drive. I would like to add that she does appear to be quite down to earth and therefore the suv is most suitable.

Nice post and we will look forward for future updates.eighroeihglk

I agree with low cost car hire! She is not likely to care and nor do we! I would like to encourage however, some discussion on the cost of running these SUV’s in today’s hotly contest climate of global warming, fossil fuel shortage and general cramming of large vehicle on our road system.
