The historical inclusion of the nameplate 'Carrera' for Porsche 911 models and the C4/C4S designation is about as annoying as the difference between a 600SEC, S600 Coupe and a CL600. I'm tempted to even ask if you (he who 'knows' them) can explain the difference between those Mercedes models. Nothing like the 575 vs Superamerica naming. If you can't follow what I'm asking or the references then you're no different than some average member of the public who really hasn't a clue what he's going on about. Personally, I find the Targa appeals to me more than the cabriolet. However, if I'm going to buy that I'd rather just go for a Turbo. Then again, people rarely buy historically significant sports cars for their prowess anyway and instead opt for their less able, lower-end stablemates. Not to sound snobby, but "anybody" who has an AMG has a V8. It is a rare pleasure to see a V12 model. People who usually buy those cars simply buy the AMG badge. Would I turn down a 63? No. But, they don't nearly have the exclusivity and significance that their V12 counterparts have. It's like the F430. "Everybody" has an F430. Kudos. Stradale? Now THAT turns my head.
