That’s what I’m talking about John. And he also picked up a new black Ferrari 599.

Sweet ride – Audi has done extremely well with designing the perfect “everyday” supercar… My only question is why did John stop at the V8 when he could easily be driving the V10 model…

I own the exact Audi R8 Mayer drives (Ice Silver Metallic/black carbon fiber side blade), so not only would I most certainly drive it around, I understand why he does as well. It is truly one of the greatest, most eloquent and contemporary sports cars ever crafted, made only more inciting by its everyday drive-ability and complimented by it’s equal uniqueness and eliteness. I will say however that the right color combination for this car is key to it’s aesthetic sleekness and geometric balance. Apologies if I seem to have gotten carried away here ha. Short answer is YES.

@Alan: Because if you can afford an Audi (especially if you are already a celebrity whose wealth is assumed, there is no need to prove anything by upgrading to a V10 that is far less practical for an everyday car and is 50 g’s more expensive. Besides, it;s not as if you can really benefit from the .5 second faster 0-60 unless you’re an experienced driver who spends time at the track; 4.5 seconds is fast enough in my opinion, and the v8 is by no means a rice rocket haha. Some people argue the V8 sounds better; I like the Lamborghini v10 scream personally, but I have to say it might get annoying after a while – the Audi sounds powerful and authoritative, especially when at full throttle, yet at the same time isn’t overpowering so in the normal drivetrain gears.
